Landing Promotes a Project for Companies' Co-Acceleration that Supports the Internationalization of Companies from Barcelona and Monterrey

The press coordinator of 22@ said that Landing Program Barcelona was in Monterrey to promote a Project of Co-Acceleration that will support the companies from Barcelona and Monterrey.


This morning, in Monterrey, the responsible of the Landing Program (UPC-La Salle-22@Barcelona), Mariona Ferrer presented the entrepreneurial international Co-acceleration Program which Barcelona and Mexican city are carrying out to promote the internationalization of companies from both cities.

The presentation had place within the framework of the Business Bridge that was organized by the City Council of Barcelona and the Barcelona´s Chamber of Commerce. The Business Bridge has brought to Monterrey a Catalan institutional and entrepreneurial delegation headed by the mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu.

The Project aims to put in touch the following actors and activities: systems of innovation (the region of Catalonia and Nuevo León), incubation programs related to the companies' growth and sustainability (University programs, Chambers of Commerce), and the internationalization of Barcelona (Landing Barcelona Program). That is why the main purpose of the Project is to offer to technologically based companies from both territories platforms of innovation that could assist the enterprise´s development. Such a platform is promoted by the Landing Program in 22@Barcelona District on Innovation and by the CANIETI (National Chamber of Industry, Telecommunications and Information Technologies) in Monterrey.


The program assures that companies from each city that have innovative projects will be prepared to launch their activities in the global world and it also affirms that being in the environment of 22@ district the companies' growth will be more safe and faster.

This project is directed to technological (or linked to the technology) SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) that are coming from incubation programs or those that would like to accelerate their international growth through technological platforms.

Forum Torino - Innovation, Knowledge and Regional Development

Landing Program attended to the Conference 2007of the Turin Euro Latin American Forum that was held in October 2007 in Castello del Valentino (Castle of Valentino) in Turin, Italy.

The conference was about the public-private partnership for knowledge-based regional development.






The Conference 2007 of the Turin Euro Latin America Forum was directed to public and private actors with interests in the application of technological innovations for developing Latin American and European regions. The aims of the conference that could be pointed out were:

  • The Conference's multilateral character will foster an articulated work of the institutions which compose the public and private, educational and entrepreneurial network within the participant regions.
  • The diversity of significant experiences, in relevant technological and management areas, will ensure the advanced knowledge exchange.
  • The previous preparation (setting-up common expectations and desired results of the participants implied in the working sessions) will stimulate the development of international cooperation projects.
