This morning, in Monterrey, the responsible of the Landing Program (UPC-La Salle-22@Barcelona), Mariona Ferrer presented the entrepreneurial international Co-acceleration Program which Barcelona and Mexican city are carrying out to promote the internationalization of companies from both cities.

The presentation had place within the framework of the Business Bridge that was organized by the City Council of Barcelona and the Barcelona´s Chamber of Commerce. The Business Bridge has brought to Monterrey a Catalan institutional and entrepreneurial delegation headed by the mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu.

The Project aims to put in touch the following actors and activities: systems of innovation (the region of Catalonia and Nuevo León), incubation programs related to the companies' growth and sustainability (University programs, Chambers of Commerce), and the internationalization of Barcelona (Landing Barcelona Program). That is why the main purpose of the Project is to offer to technologically based companies from both territories platforms of innovation that could assist the enterprise´s development. Such a platform is promoted by the Landing Program in 22@Barcelona District on Innovation and by the CANIETI (National Chamber of Industry, Telecommunications and Information Technologies) in Monterrey.

The program assures that companies from each city that have innovative projects will be prepared to launch their activities in the global world and it also affirms that being in the environment of 22@ district the companies' growth will be more safe and faster.

This project is directed to technological (or linked to the technology) SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) that are coming from incubation programs or those that would like to accelerate their international growth through technological platforms.
